QUESTION:
In my configuration for the
communication processors CP 343-1 IT and CP 443-1 IT I change
various user rights, create new users or edit existing users. Despite transfer of
the new configuration data into the module and restart from "STOP"
to "RUN" the changes remain ineffective. Why?
ANSWER:
In the "HW Config" you configure the communications processors CP
343-1 IT and CP 443-1 IT and create users with the appropriate
authorization. Then you transfer (download) the new configuration
data via "HW Config" into the respective communications
processors.
In order for the changed settings for User Name
and Password to be effective, you need to do a complete
restart of the communications processor in question (CP 343-1
IT).
For this, after transfer of the configuration data you switch of
the power supply of the IT communications processor for about 5
seconds, so that the IT communications processor is completely
without power.
Then switch on the power supply again and when
the module has started up, all the changes to users and
authorizations will have been accepted.
