SINEMA Server – a web-based network monitoring software for the supervision and management of devices and their conditions in Industrial Ethernet networks.
SINEMA Server is used to monitor programmable controllers and wireless devices connected to LAN or WLAN networks, as well as the related infrastructural components such as Industrial Ethernet switches or Industrial WLAN access points. SINEMA Server automatically identifies all devices and the related parameters available in the network. Based on this information, the software calculates the network topology and statistical data and plots the results in graphical form.
During operation, SINEMA Server scans the data of all Ethernet participants at cyclic intervals and informs about network alarms. All changes within the network, errors and availability data are listed in a log file and archived in a database. This information is then available to the user. With the help of some reporting functions he can document and analyze the network.
In 7 self-contained chapters, the multimedia demonstration system explains the functions of the SINEMA Server software and further 2 chapters will lead you through some typical use cases for network monitoring with SINEMA Server.
The multimedia demonstration system includes the following sequences:
- Automatic topology detection
- Menu: "Home"
to display the last 5 events, statistics and system information on the start page.
- Menu: "Network"
to display and manage network devices.
- Menu: "Devices"
to display information about devices which are grouped in categories.
- Menu: "Events"
to display and manage events which have been triggered by the devices.
- Menu: "Reports"
to display reports on inventory, availability and performance. You can use reporting functions for network documentation and analysis.
- Menu: "Admin"
to manage users, groups and device settings.
- Network monitoring
to localize disturbances in the network and to determine their causes
- HMI integration
to integrate the SINEMA Server network monitoring function in WinCC
