The STARTER V4.3 SP1 is downwards compatible with the previous STARTER versions and replaces them.

The new Firmware Version V4.5 for the device series:
- SINAMICS S120/S150/G130/G150 is supported by the SSP SINAMICS V4.5 integrated in the STARTER setup.
- SINAMICS GM150/GL150/SL150/SM120 is supported by the SSP SINAMICS MV V4.5 integrated in the STARTER setup.
These SSPs are automatically installed during the STARTER setup if the selection checkbox is marked.

The new Firmware Version V4.5 for the following device series:
- SINAMICS G120C, SINAMICS G120 with CU230P-2 and CU240x-2 is supported by the SSP SINAMICS G120 V4.5 integrated in the STARTER setup.
- SINAMICS G120D-2 with the CUs CU240D-2 and CU250D-2 is supported by the SSP SINAMICS G120D V4.5 integrated in the STARTER setup.
These SSPs are automatically installed during the STARTER setup if the selection checkbox is marked.

Information about DCC SINAMICS
A license is required for using DCC SINAMICS V2.1.
When upgrading DCC SINAMICS from the Version V2.0 SP5 (STARTER V4.1.5.5) to V2.2.1 and maintaining the CFC V7.0 SP1 HF3, you can continue to use the license for SINAMICS DCC V2.0 SP5 (CFC for SINAMCIS V7.0). To be able to use the full scope of functions of DCC V2.2.1, you must install CFC V7.1 SP2 HF2 (or later). For this, the license for DCC V2.1 (CFC for SINAMCIS V7.1) or the license for DCC V2.2.1 (CFC for SINAMCIS V8.0) is required.
If you wish to use DCC SINAMICS on a 64-bit operating system, install CFC V8.0. This CFC Version V8.0 is also stored on the STARTER DVD. If you have already obtained a license for DCC V2.1 (CFC for SINAMCIS V7.1), you can continue to use this. If you have not yet obtained this license, you must purchase a license for DCC V2.2.1 (CFC for SINAMCIS V8.0).
If you wish to purchase the licenses, order the relevant product DCC SINAMICS V2.2.1 (6AU1810-1HA22-1XA0 ) or DCC SIMOTION V2.2.1 with license. DCC SIMOTION comprises the license for DCC SIMOTION and DCC SINAMICS. Alternatively, you can also order a mere license stick DCC V2.2.1 (CFC for SINAMCIS V8.0) (6AU1810-1HA22-1XB0) for DCC SINAMICS V2.2.1 (temporarily).
During the setup for STARTER V4.3 SP1, the DCC libraries (DCB) are automatically installed and optionally also the DCC Editor (CFC V8.0). In this case, the orderable DCC DVD need not be installed separately. Only the license must always be installed separately.
Installation versions
STARTER can be operated in the following installation versions:
Sources of supply for the SINAMICS MICROMASTER STARTER
- This (the current) STARTER version can be ordered under the order number (MLFB) 6SL3072-0AA00-0AG0 on DVD incl. license ceritificate. A nominal charge of 26 € is incurred for order processing.
- This current STARTER Version (V4.3 SP1 or topical version) can also be downloaded under 26233208. All users who have already acquired any version of the STARTER license can use this version.
The SINAMICS MICROMASTER STARTER can be used free of charge.
How to install and open existing projects
Administrator rights on the PC/PG are required to install STARTER V4.3 SP1. User rights are sufficient to operate the STARTER (exception: Adding of additional PG/PC interfaces).
The STARTER V4.3 SP1 only provides one setup for both installation versions ("STARTER Standalone" and "STARTER DriveES").
- If no STEP 7 with Drive ES Basic is provided, the Standalone version is installed on your computer.
- If a STEP 7 installation with Drive ES Basic is already stored on your computer, the Drive ES version will be installed / updated.

Note regarding the STARTER and other engineering software
The simultaneous operation of the versions STARTER, SIMOTION SCOUT and SIMATIC S7 technology in a shared partition on one PC/PG is not supported.

NO USS protocol is provided under 64-bit operating systems. Thus, with this STARTER version, you cannot operate MICROMASTER and SINAMICS G120 with Firmware Versions lower than V4.4 if they are not provided with a PROFIBUS / PROFINET interface. This limitation will be eliminated asap through a HF.
The STARTER setup can only be performed for "native" Windows versions with Far Eastern languages when using a MUI version of Windows XP or Windows 7. The executability in another software configuration than the one stated above has not been tested.
