The new options described in the sales release 58687152 for the Simatic IPC227D are herewith released for delivery.

Additional operating systems:

The new operating system options "Windows 7" and "Windows Embedded Standard 7" for the SIMATIC IPC277D can now be ordered via the SIMATIC IPC Configurator.
The operating systems are pre-installed and enabled.
The "Restore DVD" included with the product enables a very simple and fast restoration of the operating system to the delivery status.

Language settings:

• Windows 7:                                    MUI (English, German, French, Italian, Spanish)
• Windows Embedded Standard 7:    English (can be changed by means of the included Recovery DVD)

Hardware Requirements:

• Windows 7:                                    on solid-state drive
• Windows Embedded Standard 7:    on CompactFlash with 4 GByte or more, or solid-state drive

The following additional CPU/RAM configuration is available for the SIMATIC IPC277D (same as already available for the SIMATIC IPC227D):

Upright mounting (portrait format):

The SIMATIC IPC277D also permits operation with portrait format.
Please note that the max. permitted operating temperatures during operation are as follows in this case: 7"/9"/12": 45 °C, 15"/19": 40 °C.
