Problem
SIMATIC S7-1200 can be operated as PROFINET controller as well as
PROFIBUS master (with CM 1243-5). As PROFINET device respectively
as PROFIBUS slave a SINAMICS G120C is to be employed. The PLC shall
have read/write access to the process data (control word and speed
setpoint respectively status word and actual speed) and parameters
of the drive.

Solution
This application example includes a PROFINET project and a PROFIBUS
project. It demonstrates how to connect a SINAMICS G120C PN or a
G120C DP to a
SIMATIC S7-1200. The drive integration into the STEP 7 program is
done by GSDML/GSD files. You can apply the used function blocks
directly with your own applications.
The G120C is configured with STARTER. In the PROFINET version this
is done via Ethernet, in the PROFIBUS version via USB.
