Migrate PLC tags to an HMI tag table
Option 1: Use drag-and-drop to copy tags
- In the project navigation you first open the HMI tag table into which the PLC tags are to be inserted.
In this case, the "Default tag table" opens (Fig. 01).

- In the project navigation you mark the PLC tag table that contains the PLC tags.
In this example it is the "Default tag table".
The "Details view" window shows you the contents of the PLC tags
(Fig. 02).

- In the "Details view" window you mark all the tags to be migrated to the HMI tag table.
- Drag-and-drop the marked PLC tags into the open
HMI tag table in the working area.
Place the "tip" of the cursor in the small gray field next to the "<Add new>" text. A "+" character then appears on the cursor (Fig. 03).

- This completes migration of the PLC tags to the HMI tag table (Fig. 04).

Option 2: Use copy-and-paste to copy tags
- In the project navigation you mark the PLC tag table that contains the PLC tags. In this example it is the "Default tag table".
The "Details view" window shows you the contents of the PLC tag table (Fig. 05).

- In the "Details view" window you mark all the tags to be migrated to the HMI tag table.
- Right-click the marked tags. A pop-up menu opens. Select the "Copy" item (Fig. 06).

- In the project navigation you open the HMI tag table into which the previously copied elements are to be inserted. In this example it is the "Default tag table".
- Right-click in the small gray field next to the "<Add new>" text. A pop-up menu opens. Select the "Paste" item (Fig. 07).

Migrate elements of a data block to an HMI tag table.
Option 1: Assign tags by drag-and-drop
- In the project navigation you first open the HMI tag table into which the tags are to be inserted.
In this example it is the "Default tag table".
- In the project navigation you open the HMI tag table into which the tags are to be inserted.
In this example it is the "DB10_HMI_Data" data block.
Note
The two windows are displayed as separate Windows windows in the Object bar (Fig. 09).

- In each case you mark the complete line of the elements to be migrated
to the HMI tag table.
- Click one of the marked labels (Fig. 10) and drag the marked elements to the HMI tag table window. (The window is in the Object bar).
The HMI tag table window opens.

- Drop the elements into the open working area of the HMI tag table. Place the "tip" of the cursor in the small gray field next to the "<Add new>" text.
A "+" character then appears on the cursor (Fig. 11).

- In the project navigation first you open the data block containing the elements to be migrated to the HMI tag table.
In this example it is the "DB10_HMI_Data" data block.
All the elements available to you are displayed in the working area (Fig. 13).
