QUESTION:

Why does the SIRIUS ES platform not function correctly and why is none of the installed SIRIUS ES products usable?
At the program start accrue the alarm ''NSGRPFNX - Hardware catalog is not available''

ANSWER:

The setup of older SIRIUS ES products (before 2007 like Starter ES 2006, Soft Starter ES 2006, SIMOCODE ES 2004, Switch ES Motorstarter, Switch ES Power) doesn’t detect that there is already a more recent version of the SIRIUS ES platform such as MSS ES 2008 + SP2 installed and therefore overwrites the platform partially.

Workarounds:

Variation 1:
All SIRIUS ES products have to be uninstalled. After that all products have to be installed in the right order, i.e. MSS ES 2008 + SP2 has to be installed as the last product.

Variation 2:

Installation of Motor Starter 2007 + SP4. This setup contains the most recent version of the platform and overwrites therefore any existing platform installation. After that, Motor Starter ES can be uninstalled directly. The platform in Motor Starter ES 2007 + SP4 is user-optimized, i.e. subsequently all older SIRIUS ES products can be installed without overwriting the platform.
