Description
In WinCC flexible you get one of the following system error messages: "260045 The SIMATIC Logon user does not belong to any group or belongs to multiple groups" or "260045 SIMATIC LOGON: User is not assigned to any specific group. User will be logged off".

The system error messages are also displayed in the following environments.

Option Environment
1
  • Windows Server 2003 (English)
  • Active Directory (with user who is assigned to just one group)
2
  • Windows XP Domain Client (English)
  • WinCC flexible (2008 SP2 incl. Updates) with English user interface when creating the project
  • SIMATIC Logon

Cause
If a project is created in WinCC flexible with the English user interface, the standard user group is created with the name "Users". On the client, the system requires the Domain Users group to be included in the local "Users" group. When a user logs on, a query is made about identical names. Since you can neither delete nor rename the "Users" group in WinCC flexible, it is not possible to log on in this constellation.

Remedies
Create the project in WinCC flexible in a different user interface language and change it subsequently back to English. The "Users" standard user group is then created in the language of the user interface in which the project has been created.

Notes
