Product safety message

As we have already informed you since March 2010, there is a potential safety risk regarding the integrated acknowledgement button of the mini handheld unit (6FX2007-1AD03 and 6FX2007-1AD13). The third level of the acknowledgement button (push through) may not function. We urgently request all customers having purchased the mini handheld unit to check their devices with regard to the unique part numbers stated below and contact the persons stated, if necessary.

Current deliveries are not affected and therefore safe.

Important

There are no new technical facts or findings. The measures adopted have proven to be successful. This is the second call, the situation remains unchanged. We kindly request all customers having purchased one of the devices affected to contact us by Sep. 30, 2010 at the latest (if not yet done so). The recall action is scheduled to be terminated on this date.

Why has this second call be launched?

A second call is usually launched after some time in case of such safety-related issues if large parts of the field inventory affected have already been corrected. This is aimed at finding preferrably all devices in the field and possibly device operators who have not yet contacted us following the first call.
