General:

A new failsafe SM 326 F-DO 10 module is now available for ET200M, or for a configuration behind a S7-300 F CPU. This module offers many new features: in addition to a width of only 40mm and individual channel passivation, the function "Hold last valid value" is available. This, together with the diagnostic capabilities of the module, enable cost-effective implementation of fire and gas applications to EN54-2/-4 or NFPA72. The module is furthermore suitable for redundant applications and can be used without isolator module up to SIL3, even in mixed configurations.

F Configuration tool

To be able to use the new module you require the F Configuration tool V5.5 SP6 or higher for configuration. The tool can be downloaded directly from entry ID 15208817. 

Software requirements

For the configuration and parameterization of failsafe signal modules one of the following software options must be installed under STEP 7:
- S7 Distributed Safety
- S7 F Systems

The following is required for the SM 326; F-DO 10 x DC 24V/2A PP:
- F Configuration Pack , V5.5 SP 6 or higher
 

If used together with S7 F Systems:
- S7 F Systems V6.0 or higher with S7 F Systems Lib V1_3
