Now, if you start the Setup of the WinCC flexible CSA DVD on a SIMATIC PC with Microsoft Windows XP embedded operating system and select the Runtime, installation is aborted. You get the message that there is not enough free memory for the temporary installation files or that your current operating system is not supported.

Enter the command "cmd" and then confirm with <ENTER>. |

Check whether the Enhanced Write Filter (EWF) is enabled. You do this by entering the following command and confirming with <ENTER>:
ewfmgr c:
If the EWF for the system partition C: is active (ENABLED), enter the following command and confirm with <ENTER>:
ewfmgr c: -commitanddisable
The EWF is now inactive (DISABLED).
Warning
If the EWF is inactive, all the changes on the hard disk/CF card and cannot be reset by restarting the SIMATIC PC. |

Download the relevant download package of the version of WinCC flexible Runtime to be installed.
You must use the download in Entry ID 34778772 to update to WinCC flexible Runtime 2008 SP1.
You must use the download in Entry ID 38612895 to update to WinCC flexible Runtime 2008 SP2.
Unpack the update package to an external data medium. |
