Part number:

Description:
You have inserted a STEP 7 control in a picture on your Engineering Station (ES). However, this control is not displayed at Runtime on the OS server and OS client. The reason for this is that the control is not available and not registered on the OS server and OS client. By default, these controls are not installed when the OS server and OS client are installed, because these controls are components of STEP 7. STEP 7 is only installed on the ES and thus these controls are also available on the ES.

Instructions:
Copy these controls (*.OCX or *.Dll) from the ES to the OS server and OS clients. The name and storage path of the control are on the ES in the WinCC Graphics Designer when you insert a control in the picture.

Fig. 01

Copy these controls to the OS server and OS clients and register them. You can choose the storage path at will. More information on how to register controls in Entry ID is available in Entry ID 9927882 and in the WinCC Information System in the path: Working with WinCC > Creating process pictures > Working with controls > How to change registration of an ActiveX control.

Note:
See also Entry ID 32433778 if you have problems opening registered OCXs/ActiveX objects.
