Reading and Writing of Process and Parameter Data of IO Link Masters, Sensors and Switching Devices
Part number:

Problem
The IO link point-to-point interface which transfers process data, parameters and other variables of devices was especially designed for the connection of any sensors or actuators to a control system.
The new communication standard below the fieldbus level enables a central diagnosing and locating of errors down to the sensor/actuator level, and facilitates the commissioning and maintenance, by permitting parameter data – directly from the application – to be dynamically changed.

Solution
Based on a practical example the access to additional information of IO link devices is shown. The current switching statuses, the process data and also parameter data of the devices are to be read out, displayed and if necessary also written.
