Instructions
Installation of STEP 7 V11 might be aborted in Windows XP if the Regional and Language options are set to Turkish. The following error message is displayed:
- An error occurred during setup .
Remedy
Change the Regional and Language options from Turkish to English or German. The procedure is described in the table below.

Open the Control Panel in MS Windows by means of:
- "Start > Control Panel" (Start menu in Windows XP), or
- "Start > Settings > Control Panel" (classic Start menu as in earlier versions of Windows).

Open "Regional and Language Options" and select the "Regional Options" tab.

In the drop-down list box under "Standards and formats", change the language from Turkish to English or German.

Then click the "Apply" button, followed by "OK" to confirm. |

You have to restart your PC to make the setting effective. Then you can install STEP 7 V11. |

After installation you can change the Regional and Language options back to Turkish (as described in points 1 to 4). |
