Part number:

Description:
When you create a new WinCC flexible project, WinCC flexible generates various project files.

The two most important files are:

  • PROJECT_1.hmi
  • PROJECT_1_log.LDF

If you copy, send or archive a project, then make sure that at least these two project-specific files are always there.

The next time you dearchive and open the project, the files deleted previously are automatically regenerated.
To do this properly, you need the "PROJECT_1_log.LDF" file.

If you have inadvertently deleted the "PROJECT_1_log.LDF" or you have not received the two project files described, then the following message might be displayed when you open the project.

  • The database cannot be assigned to the SQL server. Make sure that the files *.hmi and _log.ldf match.

In this case you should contact Customer Support. In some cases, it might be possible to repair the project.

Information on project archiving is available in Entry ID 21896449.
