Application Example Blocks for STEP 7 and WinCC flexible
Part number:

Task:
This entry shows how the function scope of WinCC flexible and STEP 7 can be expanded by technological blocks.

Sensors (binary and analog values) and actuators (valves, motors) of a plant form the basis of each automation project. The delivery scope of STEP 7 and WinCC flexible does not contain technological blocks, to configure a basic automation, as a standard.

At this point, this application provides a remedy. It makes useful example blocks available for WinCC and STEP 7.

Solution:
The documentation describes how the technological blocks are called and interconnected in STEP 7 and WinCC flexible.
This example project also shows the completed interconnection of the technological blocks (basic automation).

  • MOTOR
Visualization and operation of a motor with fixed speed and fixed rotational direction.
  • VALVE
Visualization and operation of a binary valve.
  • DIGITAL
Visualization and operation of digital signals.
  • ANALOGUE
Visualization and operation of analog signals.
  • PIDCTRL
Visualization and operator control of a software-implemented PID controller for regulating technical parameters with continuous input and output values.
  • MM4
Visualization and control of the frequency converter MICROMASTER 440.
  • SIMODIR
Visualization and control of the motor management system SIMOCODE Pro as direct starter.
  • SIMOREV
Visualization and control of the motor management system SIMOCODE Pro as reversing starter.
  • SINAG120
Visualization and control of the frequency converter SINAMICS G120.

Another document and project shows the possibility of dynamic positioning during RT, and the multiple use of the technological blocks by multiplexing addresses.

The following figure displays the most important components of the solution.
