Description
In this entry we list the designs and frame colors used for SIMATIC Panels and SIMATIC Panel PCs.
This list permits you to color match your control cabinets, machines and plant parts with the SIMATIC Panels and SIMATIC Panel PCs used.
The PDF document below gives the colors of the SIMATIC Panels and SIMATIC Panel PCs.
Explanation of the calculation
With SIMATIC HMI operator panels the power dissipation is only insignificantly less than the power consumption. The values listed below for power consumption are therefore almost identical to the maximum and minimum power dissipation.
Note that these values change when IO devices (a USB mouse, for example) are connected to the operator panel. Please refer to the relevant device manuals for the power consumption of the various interfaces and the permissible range of the rated voltage.

Benefit of protection films
You can use additionally protective films on some SIMATIC HMI panels with touch screen.
This robust film protects the screen against dirt and scratches.
You can find a detailed overview of protective film and suitable SIMATIC HMI panels in the below mentioned link. This link refers directly to the chapter "HMI accessories" in the Siemens Mall.
CE declarations of conformity (CE marks of conformity) All HMI operator panels with a CE mark are confirmed to be in compliance with the relevant EU directives and all the EU guidelines. The table in "EU_Conformity_Panels_e.pdf" gives a list of all the current certificates.
UL/ cUL declarations of conformity (C-UL US Listing marks of conformity) HMI operator panels with a C-UL US Listing mark of conformity have been listed in compliance with applicable UL standards and requirements of Underwriters Laboratories Inc. These operator panels fulfill the requirements for the Canadian market and for the USA. The table in "UL_Conformity_Panels_e.pdf" gives a list of all the current certificates. More information about UL / cUL is available in Entry ID 14399444.
GOST declarations of conformity All SIMATIC HMI operator panels are GOST certified. The GOST certificates are available in PDF format or as certified hard copies and have to be ordered from SIEMENS I IA AS S EU.
The following is required for shipping the certificates:
A list of the products for which a certificate is needed.
Name and address of the Russian customer.
Project data.
Reasons for shipment to Russia.
Is the certificate needed in PDF format or as a certified hard copy?
The form can be procured at the e-mail address below.

What cost-effective options do Thin Clients provide as operator panels in a plant?
Product description: A Thin Client is an industry-compatible panel that is permanently connected to a server via Ethernet and on which no local applications run (except for the integrated browser). All Thin Clients receive the operator display from the server sent via the network and show this operator display without the applications being installed on the Thin Clients themselves. Entries on the Thin Client are transferred to the server and processed accordingly. Operation on the Thin Client is the same as if you were operating on the server itself.
The Thin Client supports the following connections:
Sm@rtAccess
RDP
HTTP (via web browser)
Download:
The following PDF document includes a compilation of possible Thin Client applications.
Configuration Notes: The EU conformity declarations
are intended solely for the relevant authorities (in Germany it is
the "Regulatory Authority for Telecommunications and Post - Reg
TP"). By affixing the CE mark, we confirm that the product
properties conform to the relevant EU guidelines (e.g. the EMC
directive).
The EC conformity declarations for SIMATIC HMI products are filed
in the following department:
