Instructions:
The STEP 7 PowerPacks V5.3 and V5.4 are used to upgrade from STEP 7 Lite version 2.0 to STEP 7 V5.3 or V5.4. To install the PowerPack, you must have a valid STEP 7 Lite license. Pay attention here also to the operating system requirements. If, for example, STEP 7 Lite V2.0 is installed in Windows XP Home, you must upgrade your operating system to Windows XP Professional before installing STEP 7 V5.4. The only operating systems released from STEP 7 V5.3 onwards are Windows 2000, XP and Server 2003. Older operating systems (Windows 95/98/ME) are no longer supported.

Make a backup of your authorizations/licenses before upgrading your operating system.

It is not possible to upgrade from STEP 7 Mini V5.x to STEP 7 V5.3 or V5.4.
