ET 200iSP -- Setting up and parameterizing hardware -- Initializing and parameterizing modules
How do you change the PROFIBUS address of the ET 200iSP distributed I/O device and what do you do if the ET 200iSP is not detected via the PROFIBUS address which is set on the interface module?
Which DP slaves can be added to and removed from a PROFIBUS DP master system using the CiR function (Configuration in RUN) and which configuration changes are permissible?
Where can you find sample S7 programs and documentation for communication via PROFIBUS in the SIMATIC NET Quick Start Collection?
Which options are available for configuring the ET 200 stations?
Why does the DI (6ES7 131-7RF00-0AB0) on the ET 200 iSP not recognize an input signal?
Why does the DI (6ES7 131-7RF00-0AB0) on the ET 200 iSP not recognize an input signal?

Description:
With regard to the distribution release for the ET 200 iSP (see Entry ID 19687993), this module can be configured with STEP 7 from V5.1 SP3 and HSP (Hardware Support Package) or with PCS 7 from V6.1.

In all older versions of STEP 7 and PCS 7, as well as when the ET 200 iSP is used in non-Siemens systems, this module is configured by means of the GSD and EDD (Electronic Device Description). Given the fact that configuration takes place separately via the HWC (with the GSD) and PDM (with the EDD), the two have to be loaded separately. Since the number of input and output bytes is defined in the HWC, and the parameterization of the module or channels is determined by the PDM, the two configurations must be performed and loaded.

If only the HWC is loaded, no input signal is recognized on the DI, and the LED does not light up even though there is an input signal from the sensor. This is due to the fact that two channels on the DI module can also be parameterized as counter inputs. Parameters are assigned by means of the PDM. This module will only work once parameters have been assigned in the DI module, i.e. if the PDM has been loaded.
