Screen selection via the controller is as follows. At the end of this entry is a free download of a sample program.
 
No. Procedure
1 Create a tag in ProTool and connect it to the controller. In this example the tag "Bildanwahl_1" (screen selection).

2 Go to the "Functions" tab and select the function "Select_Screen_Variable".
3 As the parameter for "Tag with screen number:" you specify the tag you created in Point 1 - in this example "Bildanwahl_1".

4 Go to the "Options" tab and set the tag to  "Read continuously".
5 Function:
If there is a change of values on the controller side in the "Bildnummer_1" (picture number) tag, the function "Select_Screen_Variable" is executed.
Depending on the preset picture number there is a change to the picture configured.
Take the corresponding picture number from the ProTool configuration.
Via the "VAT_1" variables table you can simulate the selection of pages.

Note:
You can define/edit the picture number in the picture properties.

Runnability and test environment:
The example can be used on all the CPU types of SIMATIC S7-300, S7-400 and WinAC.
