Description
If an additional manual operation or a manual switching on of the connected actuator is intended in parallel to the digital outputs of modules 6ES7 322-1BL00-0AA0 and 6ES7 322-1BH..1-0AA0, a blocking diode has to be connected in series to the output of the module. This blocking diode prevents regenerative feedback into the module and protects it against destruction.
The let-through current of the diode must be at least as high as the nominal current of the outputs.

Note
The digital outputs of these modules are not protected against reverse voltage. Configuration without this blocking diode might lead to regenerative feedback of the plant.

The digital output module 6ES7322-1HH01-0AA0 can also be operated with a load voltage of 24V AC. In this case, you must pay attention to the switching duration. Switching duration:

  • Ohmic load, 24 V AC at 1.5 A: typically 1.5 million switching cycles
  • Inductive load, 24 V AC, 1.5 A: typically 1.0 million switching cycles

Please remove the locking elements in the front connector if you want to use the front connector of the 6ES7322-1HH00-0AA0 as the front connector for successor module 6ES7322-1HH01-0AA0. These light gray coding elements prevent you inadvertently plugging in a front connector on a different module (Fig. 1) and must be removed in this case.

Since the digital output module 6ES7322-1HH01-0AA0 can be used up to a rated voltage of 230V AC, it needs to be locked against use with the older digital output module 6ES7322-1HH00-0AA0, because this can only be used up to a rated voltage of 120V AC.

Instructions:
It is not possible to connect contactors with 24V AC to this module. A voltage of 24V AC is not sufficient of the sensor to recognize a blown fuse. The minimum load voltage for this module is 120V AC minus 20%.

Note: 
24V AC contactors can be connector to module 6ES7 322-5GH00-0AB0. This module is designed for load voltages of up to 48V AC/DC and does not need a minimum load voltage.
