What might be the cause for not all the user interface languages being available for selection?Go to beginning
Part number:

General:
In Entry ID 26187049 under "Interface Languages" is a list of which interface languages are possible with which versions of WinCC flexible. If languages are missing for your installed version, the reasons might be the following.

Cause:
When installing WinCC flexible, you are questioned about the licensing of the product. You can skip this query and do the licensing later.

If you do the licensing later, please refer to the information in the Online Help for WinCC flexible.
(Content > Readme > Installation/Uninstallation > Change License).

Extract from the Online Help:
"To change the license, terminate WinCC flexible Auto Start. Once you have successfully made your changes, you can reactivate WinCC flexible Auto Start."
Changing the license, i.e. replacing the license key is necessary if, for example, you want to switch from WinCC flexible Standard to WinCC flexible Advanced.

Note:
Also activation of the Trail license is a change of license (from "no" license to Trail license).
The same applies for the first-time activation of a license key. Again this is a change of license (from "no" license to the actual license).
The first assignment of a license key from a license server is also considered to be a change of license.

In all these cases, there is a change of license and you must apply the procedure for changing a license as described in the Online Help.

Remedy - Procedure after a change of license:

  1. Activate the license.

  2. Terminate WinCC flexible Auto Start.
The taskbar contains the following icon.

    Right-click this icon.
    A window opens.
Under the item "WinCC flexible Auto Start" you can deactivate and later reactivate the Auto Start.

    Fig. 01

  3. Activate WinCC flexible Auto Start.

Now all the user interface languages are once again available.
