QUESTION:
Is it possible for unearthed parts to protrude into the arcing
space of 3RA1 Fuseless load feeders? Is the arcing space as shown
in 3RA1 documentation only applicable for earthed parts?
ANSWER:
No obstacles may protrude into the arcing space as indicated in the
applicable documentation otherwise the resulting back-pressure of
switching gases in the event of a short-circuit would cause
malfunction of the circuit-breaker and excessive damage.

Exception:
Objects made of insulating material with a very small frontal area
such as e.g. vertical splitting plates may protrude into the arcing
space of the circuit-breaker.
