FM350-1: changing the updating time in measuring modes
FM350-1: changing the updating time in measuring modes
Part number:

QUESTION:
How can I change the updating time in the measuring modes with an FM350-1?

ANSWER:

Determining the updating time:

  • The updating time in synchronous mode with a PROFIBUS DP cycle ( TDP) of TDP < 10ms is n*TDP. You obtain the factor n via the following formula:

    n = 10ms/TDP[ms] + 1

    The digits after the decimal point are dropped after division.

    Example:
    TDP= 6ms and n = 2  results in an updating time of 12ms.

    The updating time in synchronous mode with a PROFIBUS DP cycle ( TDP) of TDP>=10ms is n*TDP  with nmin = 1.
  • The updating time in synchronous mode is n*10ms  with nmin = 1.

Entering the value determined in the DB:

You must enter the factor n in the DB for FC CNT_CTL1. The address 22 is parameterized in the WORD format, address 24 has the value zero.
