M44 - Board description files (BGB) for auto configuration
DESCRIPTION:
Board description files (BGB) for auto configuration.
BGB-/BGT files:
BGB and BGT files are used by the auto configuration program. They
have the extension *.BGB or *.BGT and their position in the
directory structure must be entered into SMPCNF:INI. Otherwise the
program cannot be started.
BGB file
The BGB file is a description file for a SMP16 board. It is
necessary for configuring this board and contains mandatory
configuration settings as well as optional settings for the board.
The BGB file influences the appearance of the auto configuration
program by adjusting dialogue boxes for the different boards. This
means that the BGB file determines which options for the respective
board are enabled and which are not. The BGB file also contains
information for enabling the various setting possibilities of the
program. Every change in these settings by the user will corrupt
the BGB file which will result in disabling of these setting
possibilities in the main program. A BGB file must not be changed
by the user!
BGT file
It contains the text shown in the dialogues. A BGT file can be
edited by the user. The BGB- and BGT files of the same board must
have the same name and also must not be renamed otherwise a program
error will occur.
