Instructions:
ProTool provides the menu items Edit > Languages > Exporting and Importing. These functions can be used for the language extensions resp. messages of the ProTool-projects. When exporting a configured language you can select a target language to which the existing text will be translated.

  • If you select Excel-table (*.csv) as an export format, the exported texts will be stored as CSV-Files.

    Note:
Further information for the export of texts with ProTool in CSV-Files can be found in entry-ID: 13532007.
  • With the Language Support Tool , that is installed from STEP 7 V5.3, you can also select Excel-Work folder (*.xls) as export format, that means that the exported texts will be stored as XLS-Files.

The export-files consist of two columns and can be opened with Microsoft Excel. In the first column texts that have already been configured are located. In the second column the according texts are to be inserted. If the language configuration is finished, the files can again be imported in ProTool .

Note:
In the language configuration of the Excel-File, no Texts are to be added or modified!
