Description:
The PCS 7 OS software always includes by default a Microsoft Windows Service Pack, the MS SQL Server and the software for the Internet Explorer. This software has been specially put together and matched for PCS 7. It also includes components that are not available on the software CDs supplied by Microsoft.
Thus it is not possible use a Service Pack downloaded from the Microsoft Support pages, for example, even if it apparently has the identical version number. 

So you must use only the software packages supplied with the PCS 7 software.

Notes:

• This applies only for Service Packs and not for Security Patches. If it is necessary to install a Microsoft Security Patch from the Microsoft Support pages, then an explicit release for this will not be issued. Details are explained in Entry ID 18490004 .
• The statements above do not apply for the pcAnywhere software. You can use the original from Symantec with the relevant version number. More information on the compatibility of versions of pcAnywhere with versions of PCS 7 is available in Entry ID: 2334224 .
