Which PROFIBUS-PA field devices are supported by the AS x88/TM and
which drivers do exist for them?

ANSWER:
Any PROFIBUS-PA field device that permit a baud rate of 45.45 kbits/s to be
selected may be used via the DP/PA Siemens bus coupler units. In order to make the
PROFIBUS-PA configurable with COM PROFIBUS, the baud rate of 45.45 kbits/s
must be approved in its GSD file.

If the DP/PA link IM 157 is used, the following PA units with simple configuration
are supported:

Any other PROFIBUS-PA units must be declared using special entries in the
configuration list. The parameters must be taken from the GSD file of the PA unit.
The following parameter entry in the GSD file is required before a PA unit can be
used via the DP/PA link IM 157:
User_Prm_Data_Len = 3
User_Prm_Data = 0, 0, 0
This PNO recommendation is fulfilled for the majorities of the available PA units.

The PA driver blocks PAAI, PAAO, PADI and PADO of the AS x88/TM-PA
communication software can be used for controlling and monitoring the cyclic data
of all PA units. No additional drivers are required.
