Description:
This entry is valid for PCS 7 versions up to and including V6.0 SP3 + Post SP3 Fixes. Please also refer to the information in Entry ID 26460191.
From PCS 7 V6.1 the program CCAgent.exe is now only executed in the background only as a service. Reinitializing the network connections is then possible via the "SIMATIC Shell" (workstation). Look for "SIMATIC Shell" in the "PCS 7 Readme" document.
You will find further information in the PCS 7 Help under: "PCS 7 - Service Support and Diagnostics > Diagnostics in PCS 7 > Diagnostic Tools > Operator station diagnostics > SIMATIC Shell.
On your SIMATIC PCS 7 Engineering Station you have configured changes and have compiled them and loaded them error-free into the PLC. The delta load to the SIMATIC PCS 7 OS station using the "Compile and Download Objects" dialog is interrupted with an error and the "PLC -> Download" function shows the following error message.

Note:
If there is no CCAgent icon in the task bar, you can also start the CCAgent dialog manually by executing the CCAgent.exe file. By default the CCAgent.exe file is located under "C:\Program Files\SIEMENS\Common\ace\bin".
Select "Show task bar icon" to have the icon shown in future. |

Click on the "Restart" button to reactivate the process. Then all the information is updated correctly in the Load OS dialog and it is once again possible to make a delta load to the PCS 7 OS station.
