QUESTION:
After a failed project transfer, why is the online access via
MPI/PROFIBUS not possible anymore?
ANSWER:
With ProTool 6.0 SP1, after a failed project download to a OP/TP
the transfer mode is set back to SERIAL.
If the user tried to configure a panel via MPI/PROFIBUS and
failed (e.g. because of bus problems, EMV, broken cable), ProTool
will reset the transfer mode back to serial for the next download
attempt. In order to again allow the connection via MPI/PROFIBUS,
the transfer mode in ProTool V6.0 SP1 has to be switched with the
menue point File > Transfer > Setting > Selection
(seriell, USB, Ethernet, MPI, Profibus).
