The MP 377 15" Touch daylight readable is already integrated in the HMI software WinCC flexible 2008 SP3 and WinCC V12 and can be selected in the hardware catalog; it is not necessary to install a supplied AddOn here nor are the procedures described under "Install ProSave Options" necessary.

Requirements
If you are using WinCC flexible 2008 SP1 HF2 or WinCC flexible 2008 SP2, you must install the WinCC flexible AddOn in order to be able to select the MP377 15" Touch daylight readable as operator panel in WinCC flexible and ProSave. By installing the AddOn you can also configure the "Set Brightness" function.

1	Depending on the version of WinCC flexible, insert the AddOn CD from the operator panel delivery package in the CD/DVD drive of your PC or download the AddOn and unpack it on your hard disk.
2	Start the installation by double-clicking on the "MP377 Daylight*.msi" file or "Setup.exe". Version V01.00.01.01_01.05 is located in the "WCF_Addon" folder. Version V01.00.01.02_01.02 is located in the "WCF2008SP1HF2\WCF_Addon" folder. Version V01.00.02.01_01.08 is located in the "WCF2008SP2\WCF_Addon" folder.
3	Now follow the instructions of the installation wizard until the installation is completed.
4	Now you can select and configure the Multi Panel 377 15" Touch daylight readable as operator panel in WinCC flexible and ProSave.

2	Procedure for setting the PG/PC interface In the "Start > Control panel" menu on the configuration PC you select the "Set PG/PC interface" command. In the "Access Point of the Application" area you select "S7ONLINE (STEP7) -> TCP/IP". In the "Interface Parameter Assignment Used:" area you select the interface connected to the operator panel. Confirm your entries.
3	Procedure for resetting to factory settings Start the ProSave software on the PC via the Start menu. Enter the operator panel type in the "General" tab. Select "Ethernet" for the connection. Enter an IP address. (The PC's IP address and the IP address used for the MP 377 must be in the same subnetwork). Note: There might be address conflicts if you enter the incorrect IP address. Do not use any dynamic IP configuration for "Reset to factory settings". Enter a unique IP address of the same subnetwork in which the PC is located. ProSave assigns the specified address to the operator panel for the duration of the update process. If you have already used the operator panel with WinCC flexible or ProSave, for "Reset to factory settings" you should use the IP address already used. Switch to the "OS Update" tab. Check the "Reset to factory settings" check box. An input field is displayed for the MAC address. Enter the operator panel's MAC address in the input field. Under "Image path" you select the operator panel image file "*.img". The operator panel image files are located in the Installation folder of WinCC flexible under "WinCC flexible Images" and on the WinCC flexible Installation CD. In order to install and operate SIMATIC WinAC MP 2008 on the operator panel, the following installation sequence must be adhered to on the configuring PC:

1. Operating system Windows XP SP2 (Windows Vista is not approved)
2. Install SIMATIC STEP 7 V5.4 + SP4 or higher
3. Install SIMATIC WinCC flexible 2008 + SP1
4. Install SIMATIC WinAC MP 2008 (v4.1.1)

Note
It is always advisable to uninstall "old" programs first of all.

Note on the download
Start the EXE file after downloading it. A folder is set up on the "C:" drive to which all the files required for installation are extracted.
Read the "Readme" file and then start the SETUP file. WinAC MP is then installed as if the installation had been started directly from the original CD/DVD.

Installation steps on the operator panel
In order to operate SIMATIC WinAC MP 2008 on the operator panel, the following installation sequence must be followed for the operator panel:

1. Perform an image update for the operator panel with ProSave, if necessary (WinCC flexible: Project > Transfer > Update operating system)
2. Download the "WinAC MP 2008" option to a SIMATIC multi panel (ProSave > Options); uninstall SIMATIC WinAC MP 2007 if it is loaded. Perform a restart on the panel when prompted to do so.
3. Transfer configuration files from SIMATIC STEP7 to the operator panel.
4. Transfer a WinCC flexible project.

Configuration Notes:
You are using one of the following operator panels on a plant:

• MP277 8"Key
• MP277 10" Key
• MP277 8" Touch
• MP277 10" Touch
• Mobile Panel 277

The firmware version of WinCC flexible 2005 SP1 is on the operator panels.
Now you want to upload the operating system image of WinCC flexible 2007 to these operator panels via a memory card (MMC / SD).

This type of upgrading (upgrading via memory card) is not executed correctly under the conditions described above.

Note:
Upgrading through Backup/Restore via WinCC flexible or ProSave is not affected by this behavior.

If upgrading via WinCC flexible or ProSave is not possible because:

• WinCC flexible or ProSave is not available in the plant.
• You are still using WinCC flexible 2005 SP1 and only want to upgrade to WinCC flexible 2007 (or higher) at a later date,

then please execute one of the following points.

1.) WinCC flexible or ProSave is not available in the plant:

Requirements:

• 2 empty memory cards
  In the following called "Card 1" and "Card 2".
• Backup file for the operator panel concerned.
  The backup files for the separate operator panels are available at the end of this entry.

Notes on working with prepared backup files:
Observe the following instructions, because otherwise the system files are not taken into account when transferring.
If you do not comply, you get a checksum error when restoring the prepared image with the Backup/Restore function.

The backups provided contains the protected system files.
It is therefore absolutely necessary to change the file explorer accordingly before working with the backup files (e.g. copy/cut/paste).

1. In the Explorer, you select "Tools" and then "Folder Options".

2. In the "Folder Options" dialog you select the "View" tab.

3. Disable the item "Hide protected operating system files" in the "Folder Options" dialog

1. Extract each backup file to an empty folder on your configuration PC.
2. Then copy the unpacked backup file to Card 1.

On the plant: (the order of the steps is mandatory)

4. Do a restore on the plant device with Card 1.
   The plant device now has a cleaned image.
5. Do a restore on the plant device with Card 2.
   The plant device is now upgraded to WinCC flexible 2007 (or higher).

2.) You are still using WinCC flexible 2005 SP1 and only want to
     upgrade to WinCC flexible 2007 (or higher) at a later date.

To ensure that upgrading by memory card of the operator panels being used can be done correctly at a later date, you must upload the operating system image to the operator panels being used from the current hotfix for WinCC flexible 2005 SP1.
