QUESTION:
Why can you no longer load into the CPU an otherwise unchanged application program after incorporation of the new FB2 (P_RCV) version V1.2 prepared with PtP-Param version V5.1.4 (CD "CP340, CP341, CP440, CP441")? In STEP 7 the error "Block FB 2 could not be copied" is reported.

ANSWER:
This case occurs only when using "older" CPUs (from before 1998) in which the SFC24 (TEST_DB) is not yet available. Users of such CPUs have to continue working with the old FB2 version V1.1 that is still located in the new block library under the designation of FB1.

When using the "old" FB2 (P_RCV) version V1.1, before making the call, you must ensure that the target DB is

  1. ready
  2. not write-protected
  3. long enough

for the data to be received so that no errors occur. Any incorrect configurations are supported without any errors by the "new" FB2 (P_RCV) version V1.2 using the built-in SFC24 (TEST_DB) - as of product release ES08 of the hardware used.
