DESCRIPTION:

The Hotfix 3 for the Drive ES PCS7 V7.0 SP1 software can be downloaded with immediate effect.

The existing Hotfix 3 includes supplements to the SINAMICS product range for the use of the module drivers and faceplates included in Drive ES PCS7 V7.0 SP1.

It goes without saying that the HF3 also comprises all functions of the previous hotfixes, that means, in particular the extensions of the HF2 regarding F-applications with F-systems are also included in HF3.

Details:
Without installing the HF3, you cannot interconnect the newest SINAMICS drives (such as G120C) from the SIMATIC PCS7 module driver wizard because the XML knowledge required for these SINAMICS drives has not yet been acquired. This XML knowledge is reinstalled by installing the HF3.

To ensure that all the new drives are also included in the PCS7/STEP7 hardware catalog, the new STARTER V4.2 or Drive ES Basic V5.5 must also be installed on the engineering PC additionally to this hotfix.

Installation requirements:
This setup is a mere hotfix setup.
That means, the following installations are required as a minimum:

• Drive ES PCS7 V7.0 SP1 and
• SIMATIC PCS7 V7.0  SP3 (or later)

With the HF3, the module driver now supports the integration of the following SINAMICS drives, which can be performed conforming to the applicable standards via GSD files and TIA-conforming via the DriveES SlaveOM.

Note:

For SINAMICS G120 drives with CU 2xx-2 (firmware >4.x), the SINA_GS_Block must be used, for SINAMICS G120 drives with CU 2xx (firmware <4.x), the SINAG120.

How to install the HF3 for Drive ES PCS7 V7.0 SP1:

1. Download the attached ZIP file "HF3_zu_DriveES_PCS7_V70_SP1.zip".
2. Unpack the ZIP file into a target directory on your hard disk. Please ensure that no blanks are included in the path name of this target directory.
3. After being unpacked, the shared directory must look as follows: \...\Disk1
4. Double-click the \…\Disk1\SETUP.EXE to start the hotfix setup program.
