Text lists:
You can incorporate a text list with 1,000 or 3,500 entries into WinCC flexible by drag-and-drop using the downloadable library in this FAQ. You can easily delete elements in the chosen text list that are not required. After export, it is easy to edit the text list with Excel and then import it back into WinCC flexible.

Library contents:
Using the library you can incorporate a text list with 1,000 or 3,500 entries in WinCC flexible by drag-and-drop. The text lists are only available in German and English (USA). You must select a project language before using the library.

1	Unpacking the archive Save the archive file in a directory of your choice and unpack it.
2	Starting WinCC flexible Start WinCC flexible.
3	Opening the library Right-click to open the WLF file in the library window of the working area with "Library > Open". Fig. 01
4	Incorporating text lists Drag the desired library element into the text lists. Fig. 02
5	Adapting text lists Adapt the number of entries and the entry names to your requirements. Fig. 03
6	Optional - Export / Import of the text list Export the text list into a folder of your choice. Edit the text list in Excel. Import the text list back into WinCC flexible. Fig. 04

Notes:
The import of 1,000 or 3,500 text list entries might exceed the system limits of your PLC. More information on this is available in the Online Help of WinCC flexible under "Contents > WinCC flexible Information System > Performance Features > System Limits > System Limits". The number of entries per text or graphics list is definitive. The import can take several minutes depending on the system used.
