Part number:

Description:
After project transfer to an operator panel, the configuration PC crashes or no longer works reliably.
This behavior can be caused by using the "Kaspersky" virus scanner. It occurs as from version V6.0. The crash is due to a security update from "Kaspersky".

Remedy:
The "Kaspersky" virus scanner is not released for WinCC flexible. You can remedy this behavior as follows.

  1. Uninstall or deactivate the "Kaspersky" virus scanner.
  2. Release the processes "Hmies.exe" and "TransferTool.exe" in the virus scanner.

Note:
More information on the topic of "Virus scanners with WinCC flexible" and on the compatibility of tested virus scanners is available in the WinCC flexible help system under:
"First Steps > Installation Guide > Installation > Installing WinCC Flexible > Antivirus tools".

Using USB RS232 adapters and USB Ethernet adapters
When using the RS232/PPI Multi-Master cable, zero modem cable or Ethernet connections, you can only use the "real" interfaces for project transfer.
"Real" interfaces are interfaces without implementation via USB. This means that you cannot use any "USB to serial" or "USB to Ethernet" adapters.
