Part number:

Description:
Due to the language settings in the Windows operating system, you can only switch between languages from the same language group in WinCC runtime without encountering any limitations. The exception to this is English which is contained in all the language groups.
In this respect, the term language group relates to all the PC settings (keyboard, fonts, code page compilation tables, ...) - you can find detailed information about the topic of language groups in the Microsoft Online Help.

Example:
The operating system is set to Russian (Cyrillic language group) and has to be changed to German (Western Europe and USA language group) in WinCC runtime - the special national characters are not displayed correctly.

In order to support a language's special national characters, the corresponding language must be selected in the operating system's Control Panel. The changes will not become effective until the next time you log in to Windows.
