QUESTION:
What should you watch out for when making a standalone installation of ProSave V6.0 SP2 when ProSave V6.0 SP2 is installed on the PC as the first SIMATIC software?

ANSWER:
If you make a standalone installation of ProSave V6.0 SP2 as the first SIMATIC software on your PC, in the installation setup you are asked only for a path for shared files of the SIMATIC software and not for a path for ProSave.

The ProSave path is not offered for selection, because it is defined in the subfolder "PTProSave" (C:\Siemens\Common\PTProSave).

The default path setting is "C:\Siemens\Common" and this setting should also be retained, because this path is valid for the shared files of all SIMATIC software packages.

If, for example, ProTool or STEP 7 are to be installed later on this PC, the shared files of the relevant SIMATIC software are likewise stored in this folder.
