This involves the same behavior/response as has been described under Article ID 8360961.
The configuring tool for the FM357-2 is installed on the computer. This installs write protected files on the computer. Other setups attempt to access these write-protected files and therefore run in an endless loop.

The files involved are in the following folder "[LW]:\SIEMENS\STEP7\s7reg".

Remedy:
In order to resolve this behavior, for the files involved, the write protection must be removed under "Properties" or all of the files deleted in the folder "[LW]:\SIEMENS\STEP7\s7reg". However, only delete the files in this folder !
Then, all of the following setups can be executed without any problem.
